Scott took me as crew around New England waters in his lovely little 21 ft Hereshoff cruiser

demonstrating against the nuclear subs at New London.  I later attended the meeting in NH

where A J Muste and Brad Little showed up and everybody liked the use of the ND symbol (before it just meant love)

used earlier at Aldermaston in England.  This was 1959.  Scott taught me a lot about elementary coast piloting,

light lists, etc.  I was 19 and had dropped out of MIT the previous year. I'm in my 83rd year now and remember

Scott as a respected activist and all-round good guy. If this is the same Scott, he had taken operatic voice training...
