There are two individuals who were great mentors to me in the way I conduct myself and have viewed the world. One was Scott Herrick and the other my friend Bill. Both are gone, both touched so many lives with their individuality and love for all beings. The last time I saw Scott was about 25 years ago when we bumped into each other on the streets of Manhattan. It was a thrill to see him now that I was an adult and could really tell him how much he meant to me. I was creating an intentional community with a group of friends {inspired by Bill) with many of the same principles that Scott had introduced to me in my adolescence. We even had created a Friday night group. We had the honor of his visiting this group in Upstate NY. My 2 mentors crossed life paths in one brief moment it was a thrill for me. It was not in the cards for us all to stay together but now being reminded of so many unique qualities that Scott had shared with the world makes me feel very, very fortunate for such a person to have given me so many gifts. With much affection and love for Scott and everyone who met him, I am glad to be here with all. Lynne Goldman
