Here is another thing which I just remembered. I have not eaten meat since the 1960's when I met Bea and Scott. They were visiting me and at dinner, I served steak, which my husband loved. He ate steak every night. Bea and Scott only ate the vegetables. I noticed and asked them why they didn't eat the meat. At first they didn't want to answer me.I kept pushing and reluctantly one of them said....and I think it was Scott. The reason they didn't eat meat was because "your stomach would be a graveyard for animals". Boy....did that influence me!!! That is many years ago and I still don't touch meat.
